Legal information & consumer rights — Dealdiscovery

This page sets out terms, warranties and your rights under Australian law for bespoke and custom furniture supplied by Dealdiscovery.

Australian Consumer Law (ACL) — Your statutory rights

Under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law, consumers have guarantees that cannot be excluded. These guarantees include that goods are of acceptable quality, fit for purpose and match descriptions or samples.

  • These guarantees apply regardless of any warranty we provide;
  • If a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on the nature of the problem;
  • Our remedies do not limit your statutory rights under Australian law.

Returns, cancellations & bespoke orders

Custom-made and bespoke furniture is made to order. For made-to-order items:

  • We generally cannot accept returns simply because you changed your mind once manufacture has commenced;
  • If an order has not entered production we may, at our discretion, allow cancellation and partial refund;
  • If goods are faulty, do not meet the description or are unsafe, your ACL rights apply.

Contact us at Dealdiscovery@gmail.com for any return/cancellation queries.

Warranty, exclusions & limitations

We provide a standard manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship for a specified period. This warranty:

  • Does not cover damage through misuse, neglect, accidental damage, exposure to elements inconsistent with intended use, or normal wear and tear;
  • May require inspection and evidence such as photographs or the return of the item for assessment;
  • Is in addition to your rights under the ACL — where a major failure has occurred you may choose a refund or replacement under ACL despite our warranty terms.

Intellectual property & use of designs

All design rights, copyright and other intellectual property in our images, drawings and website content are owned by Dealdiscovery or our licensors. You may not reproduce, adapt or publish our designs without prior written permission. Commissioned bespoke designs may include agreed license terms — obtain written confirmation where required.
